Empirical means based on observation. We selected the name to contrast Empirical Intelligence with Artificial Intelligence. While AI is helpful for many tasks, decision makers often require real data and that's where we come in.

Empirical Intelligence was founded by Eric Guntermann. With a PhD in political science from the Université de Montréal and over 15 years of research experience, Eric has honed his skills at world-class institutions including the University of Michigan (ICPSR) and UC Berkeley.
